Galaxy Tab Could underestimate Indonesian Market

Jakarta - Indosat had felt Samsung had underestimated the ability of the Indonesian market when released tablet Galaxy Tab. Because, of the 5,000 units that are required for bundling Indosat, only 2000 are ultimately provided by Samsung.

"Samsung just love to our 2,000 units, 3,000 others were thrown at the U.S. because there is considered more promising," said Group Head of Brand Marketing & VAS Indosat, Teguh Prasetya, to ITGazine on the sidelines of the launch of the latest IM3 prime card, at Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (11/02/2010).

"From the Samsung there is still under estimate us. But as soon see a booming market response in Indonesia, we henceforth be given top priority. How could I not, only 1,000 units sold out within three hours," said Teguh.

Indosat is a partner of Samsung for the tablet PC bundling Galaxy Tab. Android-based gadget with 7 inch screen is marketed with the official price of Rp 5.99 million.

"The price is almost the same as the iPad, but there are many features that far exceed its ability to iPad," said Teguh.
